Sparks' Jackson Scores Team-High 20 Points in Preseason Loss

Despite a strong performance by Rickea Jackson, the Los Angeles Sparks fell to the Las Vegas Sun 76-72 in a preseason game on Sunday. Jackson led the Sparks with 20 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a strong shooting performance from the Sun. The Sparks struggled from the field, shooting just 38.5% overall and 25% from three-point range. The Sun, on the other hand, shot 47.1% from the field and 35.3% from three-point range. In addition to Jackson's 20 points, Nneka Ogwumike added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Sparks. Brittney Sykes also chipped in with 14 points. For the Sun, A'ja Wilson led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Chelsea Gray added 17 points, and Riquna Williams scored 16 points. The Sparks will open the regular season on May 19th against the Seattle Storm. The Sun will open the regular season on May 20th against the Dallas Wings.
