4x100 Metres Relay Results: Jamaica Finishes Eleventh in Heats at World Athletics Championships

World Athletics Championships Budapest 2023 4x100 Metres Relay Results

Budapest, Hungary: Jamaica's hopes of a medal in the men's 4x100m relay at the 2023 World Athletics Championships were dashed on Sunday as the team finished eleventh in the heats.

The Jamaican quartet of Yohan Blake, Ackeem Blake, Nigel Ellis, and Kemar Bailey-Cole clocked a time of 38.90 seconds, which was only good enough for fourth place in their heat and 11th overall.

The United States, Great Britain, and Canada were the top three finishers in the heats, and they will all advance to the final.

Jamaica, which has not won a global medal in the men's 4x100m since Usain Bolt's retirement, will now have to wait until the next World Championships in 2025 to try again.
