Lakers Fall Short in Game 5, Warriors Force Series Back to LA

Curry and Green Lead Warriors to 121-106 Victory

Golden State Extends Series as Battle Shifts Back to Los Angeles

Facing elimination on their home court, the Golden State Warriors put forth a dominant performance in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinals series against the Los Angeles Lakers, winning 121-106. The Warriors' victory forces the series back to Los Angeles for a crucial Game 6 on Friday.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green set the tone for Golden State early. Curry exploded for 30 points, including six three-pointers, while Green provided a versatile double-double with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.

The Warriors' defense also stepped up, holding the Lakers to just 42.9% shooting from the field and forcing 14 turnovers. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 23 points and 13 rebounds, but he was unable to match the efficiency of Curry and Green.

With the series tied 3-2, the battle now shifts back to Los Angeles. The Lakers will need to find a way to contain Curry and Green if they want to close out the series and advance to the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors, on the other hand, will look to continue their momentum and force a Game 7 back in Golden State.

The decisive Game 6 will be played at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Friday, May 12th.
