Prepare for a once-in-a-decade spectacle as billions of periodical cicadas are set to emerge from the ground this spring in the eastern United States. According to experts, Brood X, also known as the Great Eastern Brood, is expected to surface in 15 states and the District of Columbia beginning in mid-May 2024.
